Coopers Rock State Forest

Located near Morgantown and Cheat Lake, Coopers Rock State Forest offers Irish Road Bowling a beautiful Spring setting for a family fun event. The park closes the course to traffic during the event, a rarity in this game. In 2018, bowlers traveled from as far as Chestertown MD and Dallas TX to compete.

Typically, team road bowling events are for teams of 4. Straying from tradition, the event at Coopers Rock State Forest this year will be the site of a doubles match. Join forces with your favorite friend, relative, coworker, or even pay a seasoned bowler to be your partner.

Coopers Rock will also be the site for the 2019 Jerod Putnam Amateur Open, June 7th - 9th. Amateur bowlers form all over the country are welcome to compete in this singles tournament that benefits the Jerod Putnam Scholarship Fund.

Directions

Take exit 15 off I-68 towards Coopers Rock State Forest. Team registration and event parking is available at the first parking lot 1/4 from the exit. Bowling begins near the gate on the Clay Furnace RD.
